How we perform drain cleaning:
The plumbers at Heritage may use any one of these modern methods to unclog your sewer or perform drain cleaning services. We may use video inspection first to find the problem area. We are equipped with water jetters and electrical snakes to unclog pipes of different sizes. If you have a blocked or even slow running main sewer, sink, toilet, tub, yard drain or any drain stoppage in your house, give us a call.
Underground Video Pipe Inspection
A plumber with the aid of a video camera can quickly determine the condition inside the underground sewer pipe. This video can show us places in the pipe that are cracked, broken, or clogged. It can also be used to ensure that any items that were clogging your pipes have been removed after a rooter or water jetter cleaning service.
The inspection tool consists of a flexible rod with a specially designed, high-resolution video camera on its tip. The video cameras for residential use are smaller, but are similar to the cameras used by cities to inspect sewer lines. The tip also has a strong LED light. Together these are inserted into the pipe for inspection. As the rod is pushed through the pipe, the waterproof camera records its progress and findings. Video images are transmitted to the plumber and can be saved to a file for future reference.
Water Jetting
High pressure water jetting is commonly used for to clean water lines, sewers and drains. Heritage Plumbing has the right tools and expertise to provide gentle root and clog removal and drain cleaning services.
Unlike snaking or rooting, hydro jetting uses high water pressure to clean pipes to remove all the build-up accumulated inside the pipeline. To prevent your main lines and drains from clogging or to remove pipe build-up, we suggest water jetting be done on a regular basis.
High pressure jetting for your pipelines cleans the interior walls and eliminates waste build up that has accumulated over time. A typical rooting service can only poke through the blockage and within a few weeks the problem arises again. This process involves inserting a high pressure stream of water flowing at 15-18 gallons per minute into the pipelines to clear waste build up. Unlike snaking, hydro jetting will remove scum attached to the pipeline walls that a typical rooter cannot do.
